🔸 From 2 to 4 September the exhibition “Appunti su questo tempo” will be inaugurated within the spaces of the Museum of Embroidery and Textiles in Valtopina. The exhibition curated by Barbara Pavan with the media partnership of ArteMorbida will be open until November 30, 2022.

🪡 Embroidery is the expressive language common to all the works on display: for a long time considered a minor art, an artisan practice or a pastime for ladies of good society, it has represented for centuries the only possible medium to give voice to personal or collective requests for generations of women. This elasticity still makes it suitable for immersion in everyday life to tell the present.

🧵 The Valtopina exhibition is an exploration of our time, a story entrusted to needle and thread and returned to the observer through the talent of artists committed to investigating its lights and shadows. Embroidery becomes the lexicon to give voice to contemporaneity.

🔸 The exhibition contains works by twenty-five artists active on the contemporary art scene and from fifteen countries around the world: Rufina Bazlova and Sofia Tocar (STITCHIT Collective), Manuela Bieri, Tanja Boukal, Beryl Cameron, Susanna Cati, Cenzo Cocca, Loredana Galante, Anneke Klein , Alicja Kozlowska, Christelle Lacombe, Linda Lasson, Katrina Leitena, Clara Luiselli, Ilaria Margutti, Laura Mega, Lucia Bubilda Nanni, Maria Ortega Galvez, Debbie Oshrat, Anastasiia Podervianska, Francesca Rossello, Du Songyui, Beatrice Speranza, Anthony Stevens, Litli Ulfur , Melissa Zexter.

📖 It is also possible to order the exclusive ArteMorbida Special (available only in Italian) which tells the story of the works and artists of this international exhibition which has its fil rouge in embroidery as the language of contemporary art and its theme in the exploration of the instances of our time.
