“My house is small, but its windows overlook an infinite world”

Confucius

An open identity is being born, which we could call it ‘mestizo’, an identity of migration that requires a willingness to integrate, to confront, to welcome and that is open to dialogue and encounter.

The effect of these practices is that nomadic nature is more plural and more open to the demands of the present.

This is the spirit behind the new collection of textile surfaces by Susanna Cati, a collection of carpets where past, present and future, local and global, art and design meet and intertwine in a new narrative that, through the threads, combines content and function.

A collection that emigrates to foreign lands to find a new identity.

The collection consists of carpets and mats designed by SUSANNA CATI and made in one-off pieces and as well as replicable in a limited edition.

The exclusive pieces are the result of a collaboration and joint research between the designer and personalities from the world of weaving.

The preview of NOMADIC NATURE was presented in June 2018 on the occasion of the inauguration of the Contemporary section of the Atelier 36Mazal Suisse | Luxury and rare carpets.
